Aang Film Slips to 2026 as Its Adult Voice Cast Is Revealed

A grown-up Team Avatar gets new voices, with Dave Bautista as the villain.

Paramount pushed its animated Aang movie, then titled Aang: The Last Airbender, from October 10, 2025 to January 30, 2026 without giving a reason.

The studio also revealed a new adult voice cast for the grown-up Team Avatar: Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka and Dionne Quan as Toph, with Dave Bautista as the villain. William Mata was named co-director alongside Lauren Montgomery.

The recast meant the original actors would not return in the main human roles. Steven Yeun joined in 2025 and was later confirmed as the adult Zuko, a part first voiced by Dante Basco.
