Avatar Aang Junior Novelization Hits Shelves

Random House's kid-sized retelling of the Paramount+ film arrives a month before the adult novel and the art book.

Random House Books for Young Readers released Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender: The Junior Novelization on October 13. David Lewman's 144-page paperback retells the film for readers around 6 to 9, costs $7.99 and includes an eight-page color insert.

It is the first prose version of the movie in regular stores. Abrams' longer novelization by Allison King and Ramin Zahed's The Art of the Movie are both due November 10, although Abrams sold early copies of each at New York Comic Con the week before.

The book joins Meet Team Avatar, a Step into Reading leveled reader tied to the film that Random House released on September 1.
