Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game's Physical Edition Is Now Set for 2027

The physical edition of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game won't arrive this year after all. The game's official page at Paramount Games now lists its "Physical Launch" as "Coming soon: 2027," with a footnote that physical and digital availability depends on region. We first saw the change on October 16. The page doesn't say when it was updated, and we found no announcement of it.

That replaces the earlier plan. In its July 22 launch announcement, Paramount said a physical edition from PM Studios would arrive later this year alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version, in both Standard and Deluxe editions. Nintendo Everything had reported in early July that physical Switch 2 and Switch versions were up for pre-order.

The October 28 date seen in pre-order coverage was a retailer date, not a publisher one: US Amazon pre-order listings, rounded up by Nintendo Everything on July 26, showed it for both editions on Switch 2 and Switch. The official page now points to 2027 instead. Wikipedia's October 23 Switch 2 date cites that same roundup, which lists October 28.

What about Switch 2?

The official page lists the game as out now on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and Nintendo Switch, and doesn't mention Switch 2. PM Studios' own page names Switch 2 in its header but leaves it out of its platform list, and links physical retailers without editions or dates. So the Switch 2 version currently has no official date, though nothing says it has been canceled.

The digital editions are still marked available now: the Standard Edition is $29.99, and the $49.99 Deluxe Edition adds the Year 1 Pass with five characters and extra character colors. Our release radar tracks the rest of the calendar.
