NYCC Publishing: A Korra Graphic Novel Trilogy and Early Copies of the Aang Film Books
DiMartino will write The Legend of Korra: The Long Game, and Abrams sold its movie tie-ins a month early.
Avatar's publishers held their 'Fire, Earth, Water, Air: Continuing the Avatar Legacy' panel at New York Comic Con on October 8. Avatar Studios' Joan Hilty moderated, and the panelists included authors Randy Ribay and Allison King.
The biggest comics news from NYCC was The Legend of Korra: The Long Game, a three-part graphic novel written by Michael Dante DiMartino and drawn by Alexandria Monik. It features Korra, Bolin, the Red Lotus anarchist Zaheer and Tokuga, a villain from the Korra comics. NickALive dates the reveal to October 8. No publisher or release date has been confirmed.
At Booth #3429, Abrams sold early copies of two film tie-ins that reach stores November 10: Allison King's novelization of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender ($30, 256 pages) and Ramin Zahed's The Art of the Movie ($50, with a $100 deluxe edition).
