Toph's Metalbending Academy Is Now a Free Mini Movie on YouTube

The official Avatar Legends YouTube channel has posted Toph Beifong's Metalbending Academy as a "Full Comic Book Mini Movie," free to watch. It went up on September 21 and runs about seven minutes.

The video adapts the 2021 Dark Horse graphic novel by Faith Erin Hicks, Peter Wartman and Adele Matera, in which Toph opens a school for metalbending shortly after the original series. The book is also collected in the Team Avatar Treasury.

The channel hasn't said whether more of the comics will get the same treatment. Hicks and Wartman's next Avatar book, Enter the Blue Spirit, is due in February 2027.
