Avatar Studios: TV Shows in Production, No New Films 'at the Moment'
The creators teased a secret series at Comic-Con. It turned out to be Kuruk.
In Comic-Con interviews with GamesRadar+, relayed by NickALive, Michael Dante DiMartino said Avatar Studios is making TV series but no features at the moment. Bryan Konietzko teased a secret series already in production, to be announced when the time was right.
That series was Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos, revealed at New York Comic Con on October 9.
In 2022 Paramount described the Aang movie as the first of three animated Avatar films. No second or third film has been greenlit. Knight Edge Media reported in August, as relayed by Screen Rant, that a Zuko film reached voice recording and previs before it was shelved. No studio or creator has confirmed that.
