Nickelodeon Orders Avatar: Seven Havens for the Franchise's 20th Anniversary
A two-book sequel to The Legend of Korra about a young earthbender who learns she is the Avatar.
Nickelodeon announced Avatar: Seven Havens, a 2D animated sequel to The Legend of Korra from Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, with an order of two 13-episode books. The logline introduced a young earthbender who learns she is the Avatar after Korra in a world that sees the Avatar as a destroyer, and who must find her long-lost twin.
The announcement came the day before the 20th anniversary of the original series' premiere, along with plans for new books, a Jazwares toy line, the Book 2 score album and a Korra season of Braving the Elements.
Knight Edge Media had reported the twin premise and the 26-episode count in December 2024. A Paramount Consumer Products listing later gave a 2027 window, which the October 2026 premiere beat.
