Sokka's Club, the Blue Spirit Mask and More Easter Eggs in Seven Havens Chapters 4 to 6

Karthik's hidden White Lotus room in Chapter 5 is packed with relics from Aang's era, plus Korra and Asami figures that Pavi makes kiss.

Spoilers for Chapters 4 to 6 of Avatar: Seven Havens follow.

Chapters 4 to 6 of Avatar: Seven Havens, "The Faceless," "The One Left Behind" and "Night of the Afflicted," are now on Paramount+. Like the premiere, they are full of nods to the older shows, and most of them sit in one room.

Karthik's secret room

In Chapter 5, Pavi and Nisha find a hidden door in Karthik's office. Behind it is a room full of artifacts collected by the Order of the White Lotus. IGN spotted:

  • Sokka's club, which Pavi uses as a backscratcher while pulling a classic Sokka face. Sokka's sword may be on a higher shelf.
  • A fan from one of the Kyoshi Warriors.
  • The Avatar relics used to identify a new Avatar, including the hand drum, wooden hog monkey and pull-string propeller used with Aang.
  • The world map from the opening titles of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
  • Zuko's Blue Spirit mask, which Gizmodo also points out.
  • An object Nisha picks up with the three swirls of the Air Nation.
  • An instrument on the wall shaped like Chong's dramyin from "The Cave of Two Lovers."
  • Radios, which IGN says must date from Korra's era. One may be Bumi's portable radio, or based on it.
  • A red umbrella, likely the gift Aang receives in "The Fortuneteller."

IGN couldn't identify a lantern Pavi gets excited about or a long-sleeved purple robe.

Gizmodo also spotted Korra and Asami action figures. Pavi grabs them and makes them kiss, sound effects included. The Legend of Korra ended in 2014 without a kiss between the two, though Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko confirmed the couple as canon, and the Turf Wars graphic novels later showed one. Gizmodo counts it as the couple's first kiss on screen, caveats and all. More in our look at the show's Korra connections.

Other callbacks

  • Early in Chapter 5, a character recalls Commander Bountan claiming he saw a dancing lemur-man in the Harshlands. IGN reads it as a nod to Momo's dance in "Tales of Ba Sing Se."
  • In Chapter 6, the twins use energybending to dispel the red Anomaly. GamesRadar+ notes that Aang used energybending to take away Ozai's firebending, and that Korra learned it from Aang's spirit. DiMartino told the outlet it is "definitely a big part of their story."
  • Fiction Horizon likens the spreading red crystals the storm left behind to Korra-era spirit vines, and says Pavi's compassion draws comparisons to Aang and Nisha's decisiveness to Korra.

The chakra theory

IGN and Fiction Horizon both cite a fan theory that the Seven Havens match the seven chakras Aang learned about in Book Two of Avatar: The Last Airbender. IGN, which notes the theory was posted on Reddit, points out that Ellora is red in the opening credits, that the red Root Chakra is blocked by fear, and that Seven Havens' first-season finale is titled "The Root Chakra." Some fans who laid the Havens map from the opening credits over the old world map also place Ba Sing Se and Republic City among the Havens. It is still only a theory. More on why there are seven.
