Seven Havens Premieres on Paramount+ with Two Avatars at Once

Avatar: Seven Havens premiered on Paramount+ on Friday, October 9 with the first three episodes of Book One: Survival. The other ten episodes arrive in weekly batches: episodes 4–6 on October 16, 7–9 on October 23, and a four-episode finale on October 30.

The series takes place about 225 years after The Legend of Korra, in a world wrecked by a disaster called the Cataclysm. Survivors live inside seven fortified havens, and many blame Korra for the catastrophe, so the Avatar is now feared rather than trusted.

The premiere confirms that Pavi, a young earthbender in the haven of Ellora, and her long-lost twin Nisha are both the Avatar, the first time the cycle has produced two people at once. Premiere recaps, as relayed by NickALive from Variety, say the guard captain Karthik found Nisha three years earlier and kept her as his ward. They also say a smaller form of Vaatu, the dark spirit from Korra, arrives in a storm, possesses people and escapes.

Saheli Khan voices Pavi and Aishu Devan voices Nisha. Major Curda, Akshay Khanna, Sakina Jaffrey, Darren Barnet, Dianne Doan and Dee Bradley Baker round out the cast. Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko created the show, with Ethan Spaulding as executive producer and Sehaj Sethi as co-executive producer.

The launch is not on Paramount+ everywhere. SkyShowtime's European markets get the show from October 17, and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland it streams on Paramount+ as Avatar: Die Sieben Häfen.
